Food Pantry (La Despensa)
Every Friday from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the “Santa Teresa Rodriguez Bilbraut Food Pantry/La Despensa” provides non-perishable food items for ANYONE who is suffering from food insecurity. This ministry of Our Lady of Sorrows Church is made possible by our collaboration with Connecticut Foodshare and the generous donations of our parishioners.
Santa Teresa Rodriguez Bilbraut (1954-2025) was the late wife of Deacon Victor Bilbraut, the long-time deacon at Our Lady of Sorrows Church. “Teresa” as everyone knew her, was an amazing Catholic woman of deep faith. She was an especially devoted volunteer at our Food Pantry/La Despensa. In October 2025, on what would have been her 71st birthday, Our Lady of Sorrows Church renamed the food pantry in Teresa’s honor for her unwavering dedication to welcoming those in need and serving the poor with joy and with hope.
